What cookies are and how we use them
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (called local storage) does a similar job but stays in your browser and is not sent to our servers. MUSTER uses a small number of both, only to sign you in, keep your requests safe and remember two choices you made.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. On your first visit we ask whether we may remember your display currency; everything else here is strictly necessary.
Strictly necessary
These keep the site working and secure. They do not need your consent and cannot be switched off in our banner, though your browser can block them, in which case you will not be able to sign in.
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| authjs.session-token (on secure connections: __Secure-authjs.session-token) | Keeps you signed in to the console after you enter your password | Up to 30 days, or until you sign out |
| authjs.csrf-token (on secure connections: __Host-authjs.csrf-token) | Protects sign-in and sign-out forms from being submitted by another website | Until you close the browser |
| authjs.callback-url (on secure connections: __Secure-authjs.callback-url) | Remembers where to send you after signing in or out | Until you close the browser |
Preferences
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| mu_currency | Cookie | Remembers whether you chose to see prices in EUR or USD. Set only when you change the currency in the header, at the foot of a page or in your account menu. Without it, we pick a starting currency from your country or browser language: EUR for the eurozone, USD everywhere else. | 12 months if you allow Preferences; otherwise until you close the browser |
| mu-banner-roster | Local storage | Records that you dismissed the one message about starting with a roster, so it does not come back. | Until you clear it |
| mu-consent | Local storage | Records your cookie choice (necessary always on, preferences on or off) and when you made it, so we do not ask on every page. | Until you clear it or change your choice |
Changing your choice
You can change your choice at any time with the button below. It applies to this browser on this device.
You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you delete the consent record, the banner asks again on your next visit.
Traveller install pages
A traveller who opens their install link does not need an account. The install page sets no cookies of its own. It shows the same cookie banner as the rest of the site, and the same choices apply.
What we do not do
To be specific about the things people usually worry about:
- We do not load advertising networks, social media buttons or tracking pixels on any page.
- We do not use cookies to build a profile of you or follow you to other websites.
- We do not load third-party analytics, so no outside company receives a record of the pages you visit here.
- Our card payment form, when card payments open, only sets what the card processor needs to take the payment securely and run 3-D Secure with your bank. We will list any such cookie on this page before it goes live.
Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies or storage we use, we update the tables above and the date at the top of this page before the change reaches the site. If we ever add an optional cookie, the banner will ask you again, because a choice you made about categories that were empty at the time should not count as a yes to something new.
